SBCC legislative subcommittee appoints chair pro tem and approves agenda, minutes

The State Building Code Council legislative committee appointed a temporary chair, approved the meeting agenda and approved minutes from its Jan. 8 meeting during routine opening proceedings on Jan. 15.

A member nominated a volunteer to serve as chair pro tem and another member seconded the nomination; the committee confirmed the appointment by voice vote after members signaled "aye." The agenda was moved for approval by Angela Haupt and seconded by Kjell Anderson and approved by voice vote. The Jan. 8 minutes were moved by Todd Byerger and seconded by Kjell Anderson and were approved by voice vote.

These procedural votes set the meeting's business in order before the committee moved into a substantive legislative update and bill-tracking discussion.
