Board approves consent calendar, hears creek restoration update and reports no closed‑session action

The Board of Public Utilities approved the three items on the consent calendar by roll call; Chair Galvin moved adoption and the motion passed unanimously with Board member Mullen absent.

There were no public comments on non‑agenda matters. Board member DeWitt thanked Santa Rosa city staff for responding to pollution in Roseland Creek and urged stronger creek stewardship in the Roseland/Laguna de Santa Rosa area.

Acting Director Chavoni told the board the Lower Colgan Creek restoration project is nearly complete and invited board members and the community to three public planting events on Jan. 17, March 21 and April 18; volunteers were asked to meet at Monument Drive and Mohave Avenue and to use the Laguna de Santa Rosa Foundation’s volunteer sign‑up page (as announced in the meeting).

The board then adjourned to a closed session for a conference with a real property negotiator under Government Code section 54956.8 regarding the property at 3875 Sky Farm Drive. After reconvening, Assistant City Attorney Hofstadter reported there was no reportable action taken in closed session. The board adjourned to meet again in a couple of weeks.
