PSCC elects Susie Lopez as chair, Chief Judge Cibella as vice chair

Miss Susie Lopez was elected chair of the Public Safety Coordinating Council on a voice vote at the council's first full meeting of 2026. Chief Judge Cibella was elected vice chair after being nominated by Nick Bates and seconded by Donna Cameron Cepeda. The council recorded its approval of the November 14 minutes earlier in the meeting.

The leadership elections came after staff confirmed a quorum and members reviewed subcommittee rosters. During roll call, representatives from the sheriff's office, the clerk's office and several judges' offices were recorded as present. The chair asked committee chairs and vice chairs to confirm continued participation and noted staff will circulate a spreadsheet to document designated replacements for future meetings.
