The commission approved the preliminary plat for Ashton Glen Subdivision Phase 2, located near Watercrest Boulevard and Highway 280. Staff presented the plat and opened a public hearing for attendees with proximity concerns. An adjacent resident asked which lot was open space and whether wetland and stream buffers were protected; the applicant’s representative, Greg Asquin with the Foresight Group, said Lot 32 is the open-space lot and that stream buffers and delineations will remain in place and be respected in the plat.
Asquin told the commission the layout meets minimum CDD and performance-zoning requirements and that the plan allows single‑family development consistent with the CDD. Commissioners moved to approve case PP2025-045 and the motion passed.
Next steps: DRT and permitting will finalize exact lot configurations and ensure stream buffers and open-space protections are recorded on the final plat.
