Atlanta Transportation Committee approves airport and street funding resolutions, attaches iProbe report to restroom contract

The Atlanta Transportation Committee voted to approve a series of resolutions and contract actions for street, bridge and airport projects, including a large supplement to a guaranteed maximum price fund for airport construction and a multimillion-dollar terminal contract.

The committee also approved a substituted resolution (26 R3001) requesting traffic-calming devices on Margaret Place NW between North Eugenia Place NW and Hollywood Road NW to reduce speeding.

A resolution authorizing a stipulated-sum agreement with Georgia Power for utility relocation related to the Cheshire Bridge Road replacement project was approved, authorizing up to $116,350 for relocation and adjustment work. The committee approved a resolution supplementing a guaranteed maximum price fund not to exceed $191,416,390 for on-call construction management at-risk contracts at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

A $26,516,653 agreement for Central Passenger Terminal restroom enhancements (26 R3093) with New South Synergy 2 was amended on the floor to attach the iProbe report; the chair noted the IPRA report “yielded no observations.” The amended item passed (vote announced as 7 yays, 0 nays). The committee also approved an intergovernmental lighting agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation (26 R3094) and a $28,011,595 supplement to a joint task order fund for architectural and engineering design services at Hartsfield-Jackson (26 R3095). Several votes were announced as favorable by the clerk.
