Owner’s rep: TAVA House near drywall completion, final walkthrough expected in February

Chris Hanson, the owner’s representative for TAVA House Properties, updated the Woodland Park DDA on construction progress at the TAVA House project during the Jan. 16 meeting.

"Right now, we are installing drywall. The hoods are all in. We got some concrete to pour," Hanson said. He added that, "we're projected by the schedule to be doing final walk through at the February" and said the team hopes, weather and CDOT constraints permitting, to reach the team’s target around St. Patrick's Day.

Hanson explained some curb and gutter work remains, with portions of Park Street subject to Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) timing and lane-closure constraints; he described temporary asphalt in sections where final concrete cannot be poured until land decisions are resolved. Board members asked whether CDOT or the developer is responsible for specific curb and turn-lane work; Hanson said some work is developer-controlled while other portions are CDOT-managed and noted limited allowable closure windows (for example, three specified consecutive days are currently permitted for closures on the eastbound side).

Hanson invited board members and staff to tour the site by appointment. He said most city staff have already visited and encouraged board members to schedule walkthroughs to see construction progress.

The update was largely informational; no board action was taken specifically on construction activities during the meeting.
