Michiana Shores affirms council leadership and liaison appointments

The Michiana Shores Town Council opened Jan. 13 by confirming leadership and board liaisons. Nominations were offered during roll call; council voice-voted with four ayes and the chair announced that "town council president will remain Diana Donvers, and vice president will be Samantha Arnold."

Council reviewed liaison roles for park board, roads, police and fire department contacts, and plan commission representation. Several commission terms were discussed: members reported that Matt and others had terms ranging through 2026–2028; the council agreed to confirm existing liaisons unless a member asks to step down.

The council asked members who serve on external boards to advise whether they would remain as liaisons and noted that some positions are voluntary. No contested appointments were recorded; council directed staff to follow up with members and return any outstanding confirmations at a future meeting.
