Phoenixville resident urges council for answers after husband’s overdose

Colleen Lucchese, a Phoenixville resident since 2006, used the meeting’s opening public-comment period to ask council and staff for information about her husband’s recent death. Lucchese said he was missing for three days before she found him and that he died of a drug overdose. She said she was the last person to text him and asked for help recovering his cellphone and any information staff could share.

Council members offered condolences and the presiding officer directed Lucchese to speak with borough staff after the meeting to pursue the matter. No formal action or vote was taken during the public-comment period; council did not indicate at the meeting that it would open an investigation or change policy in response to the request.
