The Dayton Board of Education took several formal actions at its Jan. 13 meeting at Belmont High School.
- Resolutions B–G: The superintendent recommended approval and the board approved resolutions B through G by roll call after members were given time to review and after several items were pulled for separate consideration.
- Vice presidency: Multiple nominations failed to secure the four votes required by board practice; the board tabled the vice-presidency until its next meeting.
- HBEA-related motion: A motion related to HBEA (specific item referenced during the consent discussion) was subjected to a roll-call vote and failed with three yes votes and four no votes.
- Executive session: The board voted to go into executive session under Ohio Revised Code §121.22(g) to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal or discipline of public employees; the roll call recorded eight yes votes.
Where available, the meeting record shows the roll-call responses (named board members answered “yes” or “no” during votes) and the board chair announced outcomes and next steps. Any items pulled from the consent agenda were deferred for additional review or executive consideration.
