Board discusses reappointments and Zone 6 vacancy; chair selection slated for March

During new business at the Jan. 15 meeting, the Board of Zoning Adjustment discussed reappointments and open seats. The chair said they had applied for reappointment and noted they will be absent in February. Board members asked about the rules governing chairmanship. One board member said the chair may not serve more than two consecutive years in that role.

Members discussed a vacancy in Zone 6 and broader recruitment challenges. One participant noted new employees in the clerk’s office and that no one had yet stepped forward to fill the Zone 6 seat. The board agreed to discuss and vote on a new chair at the March meeting and to encourage recruitment for open seats.
