Beth Carmichael of Trumbull County Tourism presented the 2026 'Truly Trumbull' trip ideas guide (printed copies and online at trulytrumbull.com) and described a relaunch of the county’s Italian Food Trail. The Food Trail highlights eight paid participants and uses a sticker-and-prize drawing to encourage visits; county staff said they are promoting the trail in Cleveland and plan to expand marketing to Columbus, Pittsburgh and Erie.
Separately, staff explained a recommended $5,800 payment for Valley Manufacturers Coalition annual membership dues. A county staffer described the coalition as a regional business organization that helps the county access manufacturing employers, supports apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs, and helps secure grants. The staffer said Trumbull County was a founding coalition member and that membership supports workforce recruitment activities.
Commissioners asked routine clarifying questions about the printed guide and the Food Trail’s participants; no substantive policy decisions were taken beyond acknowledgment and placing the tourism financial report on file.
