The Pulaski County Public Schools board completed its annual reorganization at the Jan. 13 meeting, electing Jacob Price as chair and naming Billy Williams vice chair.
Mr. Graham nominated Price for chair and the nomination was seconded and approved by voice vote. The board then moved through a slate of appointments: the board retained the incumbent board clerk (motion and second recorded), reappointed Brenda Crawford as deputy clerk, and retained Rob Graham as parliamentarian. The board also voted to retain Miss Payne as the district’s representative to the Governor's School.
Members approved the recommended membership of the district’s school safety committee, a seating and voting order (left to right as currently seated), and adopted the schedule of monthly board meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. The board voted to retain its current legal counsel (named in the agenda as St. Anderson's and Timberlake Smith) and to name superintendent designees (Dr. Tara Grant, Dr. Polcio, Miss Galar and Mr. Whitaker) to serve in the superintendent's absence.
Several of the actions were approved by voice vote at the meeting; the transcript records the motions, seconds and that the measures carried. No formal roll‑call tallies are recorded in the transcript beyond individual members verbally indicating "Yes" or "No" when asked during votes.
The reorganization concluded with standard housekeeping items including confirmation of seating order and meeting dates for the coming year.
