Rankin County board authorizes legal team to resolve Southern Rankin Water Association dispute despite vocal objections

Speaker 3 asked the board to grant authority to county legal counsel to resolve a disputed claim related to the Southern Rankin Water Association litigation on terms discussed in executive session. Speaker 2 moved and the motion was seconded.

Speaker 4 objected strongly, saying, "the millions of dollars that Gary Williams has cost Rankin County... they should throw him off the board," accusing Williams of causing significant county expense.
