Commission approves Silver Creek Commerce Lot 7A plat amendment to reserve right‑of‑way

At its Jan. 13 meeting the Snyderville Basin Planning Commission approved a plat amendment to designate a public easement for future right‑of‑way at 6342 Silver Creek Drive (Silver Creek Commerce, Plat C Lot 7A).

Tiffany Robinson, the senior planner who joined the meeting online, described the request as "only placing an easement. This is not a subdivision." Robinson told commissioners the amendment formalizes a public right‑of‑way intended for a future roundabout at Silver Creek Drive and Promontory Road and will be reviewed by the county as highway authority.

No members of the public stepped forward to comment during the hearing. Commissioner (Speaker 10) moved to approve the plat amendment consistent with the staff report's findings of fact, conclusions of law and conditions of approval; Commissioner (Speaker 11) seconded. The planning commission voted 7–0 to approve the plat amendment.

The decision records the easement on the plat and does not change lot lines or otherwise subdivide the property; the action allows subsequent review and recording of the right‑of‑way so the county and applicants can proceed with engineering review and eventual construction of the roundabout.
