Beaufort County School District school-choice application deadline set for Jan. 15

The Beaufort County School District announced that applications for the 2026–27 school-choice program are due Thursday, Jan. 15. The district said the school-choice program allows county students to apply for magnet programs at schools beyond their zone of attendance.

"Beaufort County students who attend choice programs do not pay extra tuition, although their families are responsible for their students' transportation if they live outside of the zone of their preferred school's zone of attendance," the bulletin stated.
