Planning board approves High Range 6 Phase 1 preliminary plat for 118 lots

The Rio Rancho Planning & Zoning Board approved the preliminary plat for High Range 6 Phase 1, which would create 118 single-family residential lots and 13 tracts on approximately 53.30 acres.

Liz Luis Carlos, planner, said the properties are zoned R-5 and lie within the High Range 6 master plan area. She described access points and public utility easements along lot fronts, and said all proposed lots conform to R-5 standards. The master plan and its recent amendments were cited in the staff presentation. "Staff recommends that the planning and zoning board approve the preliminary plot case subject to the following findings of condition and findings of fact," Luis Carlos said.

Agent Justin Simonson responded for the applicant and stood for questions. No public opposition was raised. The board moved, seconded and approved the preliminary plat during the meeting.

Staff will ensure the stated conditions of approval are met in subsequent engineering and plat submittals.
