Pelham City Council approves consent agenda and names Marcus Snowden as city representative to Planning and Zoning

PELHAM, Ala. — The Pelham City Council unanimously approved its consent agenda and appointed Councilmember Marcus Snowden on Dec. 1 as the city’s representative to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Council President Oliveritt presented a consent agenda that included approval of the Dec. 1, 2025 agenda, minutes from the Nov. 17, 2025 regular meeting and a set of resolutions. A motion to approve was made and, after a roll-call vote, councilmembers Oliveritt, Power, Towns, Snowden and Harris recorded “yes” votes and the consent agenda passed unanimously.

The council then considered Resolution 2025-12-01-09, to name a council member as Pelham’s representative to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Council President Oliveritt said the council had nominated Marcus Snowden in a prior work session. A motion to approve the resolution passed unanimously after Snowden said he was grateful for the selection.

“I’m honored and appreciative to, you know, the team up here for choosing me,” Councilmember Marcus Snowden said after the motion passed. Snowden told the council he looked forward to using his engineering and construction background to help the commission.

Motions and votes recorded during the meeting show the council took formal action on both the consent agenda and the appointment by voice and roll-call; both items passed without opposition. No amendments or abstentions were recorded.

The council moved next to public comments and other business before adjourning.
