DuPage County Board approves grants, appropriations and contracts in consent agenda

DuPage County Board members approved a broad set of consent and committee items Wednesday, advancing grants, appropriations and contracts across community services, facilities, public safety and public works.

Finance items approved included acceptance of an energy efficiency block grant extension through Nov. 30, 2026, a PACE/Suburban Bus senior transportation agreement for $172,450, a Paratransit program agreement for $690,000, and a LIHEAP appropriation of $3,000,657.594 for Community Services. The board also approved township reimbursement appropriations and budget transfers included in the packet.

Human Services approvals included purchase‑order amendments for weatherization (increases tied to DCEO funding), tenant‑based rental assistance agreements with DuPage Pads ($139,000) and Catholic Charities ($204,000), and contracting for shelter advocacy services and medical equipment for DuPage Care Center.

Judicial & Public Safety items approved contracts for supplemental medical staffing across multiple vendors (contract totals not to exceed $450,000–$600,000 depending on vendor), GPS and electronic monitoring services ($678,000), and an enterprise Fortinet agreement for the Sheriff's Office (not to exceed $687,565.74).

Public Works and Transportation approved a series of equipment, materials and professional services contracts and several contract amendments, including a $300,540.16 increase to a contract for improvements on County Highway 33/75th Street (Builders Paving LLC). A USGS water resource contract for $393,400 was approved under stormwater.

Many items were approved by roll call. The board also granted leave/approval for multiple appointments and procedural consent items. Members asked for follow‑up on several procurement and contract questions that surfaced in discussion earlier in the meeting.

The meeting adjourned with the board expecting to reconvene Jan. 27, 2026 at 10 a.m.
