Hempstead board approves administrative calendar; resident suggests September evening meeting

The Hempstead Town Board voted to approve the administrative calendar at its Jan. 6 meeting. The item advanced after a public commenter, Chris Jacobs, suggested adding an evening meeting in September to increase participation, saying September is "the least traveled time of year" and could yield better turnout.
