At the Jan. 12 public conference meeting, the Caldwell‑West School District board moved to approve the administration’s determinations concerning harassment, intimidation, or bullying (HIB) investigations, based on a confidential report on file in the superintendent’s office.
The presiding officer moved the recommendation "upon the recommendation of the superintendent; motion to approve the administration's determination concerning harassment, intimidation, or bullying investigations as outlined in the confidential report on file in the superintendent's office." The motion was seconded and the clerk conducted a roll call: Dean Bullock — yes; Miss Landolfi Jefferson — yes; Miss Mac — yes; Miss Grosso — yes. The clerk reported the tally and stated "Motion carried." (4‑0)
Following that vote, the board voted to end the public conference at 7:30 p.m. and enter executive session; the motion carried and the board recessed for private deliberations. No confidential details from the HIB report were disclosed during the public session. The superintendent noted that matters discussed in executive session would be made public when confidentiality no longer applies and formal action on those discussions will occur at a public meeting when appropriate.
The board’s next public meeting is Jan. 26.
