Planning commission approves development plan for IBEW 873 on North 50 East

The Kokomo City Planning Commission approved Case P11A25, a petition from Tripp Engineering and Consulting on behalf of IBEW 873, to develop property at 2739 North 50 East. Tripp Engineering representative Tori Tripp told the commission the proposal is for a 20,000-square-foot building with associated parking; she noted prior plat comments were addressed in the final plans. The board moved to approve the development plan and voted in favor.

During the short presentation, staff and board members confirmed the developer had responded to plat-review comments and that required design adjustments had been incorporated. No members of the public registered opposition at the meeting, and the commission approved the motion by voice vote.

The approval allows the developer to proceed to the next steps in the permitting and construction sequence; site layout, stormwater, landscaping and other technical details will be reviewed in subsequent development and permitting steps required by the city.
