The commission approved terms and conditions and authorized the City and County of San Francisco’s director of real estate to execute an easement deed granting Pacific Gas & Electric Company approximately 2,944 square feet for a natural gas meter station that will serve SFPUC facilities at the Southeast plant.
Dina Brazil, right‑of‑way manager, said the meter station is needed to support construction of the new biosolids digester facilities, which replace and relocate solids‑treatment equipment at the Southeast plant. The facility requires an increased natural‑gas supply and an above‑ground meter station sited on what staff described as effectively private property adjacent to Gerald Avenue; PG&E requires an easement and authority to excavate, construct, maintain and inspect the meter station prior to construction.
Brazil said the Planning Department issued a minor project modification for the meter station on Nov. 11, 2025, and the project’s environmental impact report was certified in March 2018. Commissioners moved and seconded the item and approved it by unanimous roll call. Brazil noted the easement must be fully executed and recorded before construction and remains subject to the Board of Supervisors and mayoral approvals referenced in the staff report.
