Uinta County approves $17,385 Nearmap aerial‑imagery renewal for assessor

Katrina Gardner of Purchasing and Grants presented a one‑year service agreement with Nearmap, an aerial imagery vendor, to continue providing high‑resolution oblique imagery for the assessor’s office.

Gardner explained the imagery helps the assessor remotely verify building features—stories, additions and roof lines—reducing the need for on‑site inspections and improving assessment accuracy. Meeting discussion confirmed the annual cost at $17,385.50, an increase from the prior year; the assessor’s office and legal review had approved the contract language.

A commissioner asked whether the cost is similar to last year; staff confirmed it had increased. The commission voted to approve the one‑year agreement.

Next steps: staff will execute the Nearmap contract and coordinate assessor access to the renewed imagery service.
