Commission ratifies two CIB grants to fund Buckskin Hills and Western Park master plans

Jenny Byrd, Purchasing and Grants, reported that Uinta County MBA received two grant awards from the Permanent Community Impact Board (CIB) to help fund master plans: one for Buckskin Hills and one for Western Park. Byrd said the CIB grants will fund up to 50% of each master plan’s cost, up to $35,000 per plan, and identified contract numbers 26DWS0213 and 26DWS0214.

Byrd said the contracts were previously signed by Commissioner Norton on August 14 and that the county attorney’s office reviewed and approved the contracts; the commission was asked to ratify them. Commissioners combined the ratification into a single motion and approved it by recorded 'Aye' responses.

Next steps: staff will proceed under the terms of the CIB contracts to begin master‑plan work for each site and comply with CIB reporting requirements.
