Fisher County Ag Extension secretary reports invoices and asks that $9,000 donation be paid as a lump sum

Lindsey Cage, the new secretary in the Ag Extension office, told the meeting this morning that the office's current invoices total $34,007.61 and invited questions on the bills.

Cage said the Ag Extension is also asking to change how an annual $9,000 donation is paid. "I'm just asking that we just go ahead and give her the total of $9,000 instead of it in every month ran through," Cage said, adding that the program remains under Linda Nelson's oversight but will be administered through Crossroads Church.

Earlier in the meeting Cage and another speaker discussed recent repair and insurance payments tied to county facilities. Cage said insurance covered roughly $60,000 and that the total cost for related repairs came to about $63,000; she said the total included multiple, earlier repairs to library and museum roofs and that paperwork would need to be amended because part of the claim came in last year.

No formal vote or final decision on changing the donation payment was recorded in the transcript; the items were presented for the court's consideration and will be reviewed at a future session of the commissioners court.
