New Hoschton City councilmembers sworn in; council approves agenda

Edwin Acevedo and two other newly elected city council members were sworn in at the opening of the Hoschton City Council meeting. The oath was administered by staff, signatures on the required paperwork were completed, and colleagues offered congratulations.

After the oath, a council member moved to approve the meeting agenda "as is," another council member seconded the motion and the presiding official called for a show of hands. The motion was stated to carry with those present raising their hands; no formal roll‑call tally was recorded on the transcript.

The meeting packet, including reports from the mayor, council and staff, was noted to be available online for the public. Staff said the packets also contained the new business items that would be discussed later in the meeting.
