LaSalle County IT committee approves minutes, pays routine bills and files reports

The LaSalle County IT and Central Services Committee met Jan. 9 and approved the previous meetings minutes and several routine payments.

In roll-call action the committee confirmed attendance and then voted to approve the prior meeting minutes after a motion from Joanne and a second by Don. The committee later voted to place the Central Services monthly report on file after Tracys presentation and approved Johns IT report following discussion.

Tracys Central Services report listed December FY26 activity and finances, including monthly bills of $31,746.60 and reimbursements of $3,010.15; she also reported postage line items and modest savings across several categories. Tracy noted she replaced a seven-year-old scanner, saying "I purchased it through Amazon for $3,299.38, and I had IT hook it up. So with that, I saved $1,290."

John delivered the IT monthly report and the committee approved it after a motion by Nancy and a second by Joanne. John reported 535 help tickets for the month and said incoming attacks were "about normal" and that threat attempts had been blocked.

The committee authorized payment of central services bills and IT bills by voice vote; motions to pay were moved by Joanne and seconded by Nancy and carried. The meeting adjourned following a final motion by Joanne and a second by Nancy.

The committee did not adopt new policies at this meeting; next steps are administrative follow-ups (filing reports, posting meeting records and continuing planned work on website accessibility).
