The Alistair Planning Commission on Jan. 8 elected David Drake president and Steve Hale vice president for 2026 and carried several land‑use decisions by roll‑call vote.
The commission approved amended minutes from its Dec. 4, 2025 meeting after a commissioner asked staff to remove language that implied a guaranteed septic solution for the Whistler property. The amendment clarified the motion to approve the primary plat without promising septic installation.
On land-use items the commission approved PC26‑1, a primary plat from M G 3 Properties LLC to split 8631 West Flatwoods Road into two lots (case PC26‑1); and PC26‑2, a related development plan for self‑storage units at the same address (case PC26‑2) with the conditions stated in the staff report, including engineered pond‑draining procedures and town engineer inspections during pond work. The commission also approved PC26‑5, a primary plat to subdivide Lot 4 of the Ripley Minor Subdivision into four lots (case PC26‑5).
All recorded votes on the agenda items were taken by roll call and carried by the commissioners present. The meeting closed after a brief planning‑department update announcing the Feb. 5 meeting.
