The Monroe County Waste Reduction District handled a set of routine and administrative items at its Jan. 8 meeting, approving payroll and claims, adopting an amended vendor list, and postponing election of board officers.
Payroll and claims: Staff presented preapproved payroll and claims of $200,136.45 and additional payroll/claims submitted Jan. 7, 2026 of $233,790.82, for a total of $433,927.27 recommended for approval. A director moved to approve the payroll and claims dated Jan. 7, 2026 and the board approved the motion by voice vote.
Vendor list: Staff presented Resolution 2026-1 to amend the district’s approved vendor list and noted a printing error on the packet signature page; after a motion and second, the board adopted the resolution by voice vote. Staff said they will circulate a corrected signature page for electronic signature following the meeting.
Officer election: Because several appointing entities had not yet confirmed representatives, a motion was made and seconded to continue the election of officers to the Feb. 12, 2026 meeting; the motion passed by voice vote.
No public comments were made on these items during the meeting.
