Bonner County parks to move Garfield Bay reservations from ReserveAmerica to Firefly

Parks and waterways staff told the Waterways Advisory Committee on Jan. 9 that Garfield Bay campground reservations will remain on ReserveAmerica but will redirect users to a newer interface, Firefly, operated by the same vendor.

The change is intended to give county staff more control: Carrie in the parks office will be able to make in-house reservations, move sites and process cancellations, resolving problems the county experienced during last year’s wildfire season when the office could not perform cancellations and reimbursements efficiently.

Committee members said the change had been under discussion since late summer or early fall, and they welcomed a more user-friendly interface that could save the county money and reduce administrative headaches.
