Staff said reporting thresholds typically include spills over 55 gallons or releases exceeding 10,000 pounds, which trigger reporting to the Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; FEMA's role was described as inspection and sign‑off.

Separately, staff presented an interconnectivity grant of $26,641 to supplement GIS services and reimburse 911 connectivity costs; the grant was described in the meeting as 100% funded. The board moved and approved acceptance of the grant and the hazmat addendum by voice vote.
