Rep. Arrington says he supports a ban on congressional stock trading, calls for "airtight prohibitions"

When asked about a potential ban on congressional stock trading, Rep. Jody Arrington said he supports prohibiting members from trading individual securities while in office.

"Absolutely," Arrington said, adding: "Public office is a public trust, and there's just too much room for impropriety, too much potential for conflicts of interest, not just insider trading. We need to lock it down. We need airtight prohibitions, and I expect that Republican leadership in the House is gonna bring that to the floor for vote."
