Committee approves CASA membership and lease renewal for Children's Advocacy Center satellite

The McLean County Justice Committee on Jan. 7 approved two items supporting the Children's Advocacy Center: the 2026 Illinois CASA membership agreement between Illinois CASA and CASA of McLean and Logan Counties, and a lease renewal for the Dorothy Warner Business Center location that serves as the DeWitt County satellite office.

The chair said the CASA membership outlines responsibilities between the state organization, local chapters and the national CASA network. A motion to place the CASA agreement on the table was made by Burns and seconded by Hansen; members voted in favor and the motion passed.

The lease renewal, described as a renewal for the DeWitt County satellite office, was moved by Ziebart and seconded by Hansen and approved by the committee.

Committee members offered brief thanks and no substantive debate was recorded. Both items were approved by voice vote with no opposition.
