County administrator flags elevator repairs, interactive mapping and strategic plan in 2026 workplan

County Administrator Danzel used his Jan. 7 report to outline administrative priorities for 2026. He said interdepartmental meetings covered software license management, public works project planning and winter‑weather readiness. Danzel described a request from planning staff for an interactive 'smart board' to display maps and data during planning sessions and flagged upcoming outreach connected to the USDA Bridal Prosperity Summit.

Danzel also told commissioners that elevator repairs to maintain ADA compliance could carry "pretty hefty charges" and that staff are seeking options to reduce costs. He said facilities staff are exploring repair and maintenance options and noted the administration will present a finalized two‑year strategic plan at a subsequent meeting.
