Planning commission elects Jim Quish as chair, Bob Satti as vice chair

The Milford City Planning & Zoning Commission on Jan. 6 elected Jim Quish chair and Bob Satti vice chair in secret ballots conducted at the start of the meeting. Acting chair and city planner Dave Solkus opened nominations; Quish prevailed over Mr. Macchio by a 5–3 tally and Satti beat Mr. Agnesi by the same margin.

The two leadership votes followed the commission’s organizational agenda and were carried out by paper ballot. Solkus also told the commission that the applicant for 25 8th Avenue asked to remove that matter from the agenda and reschedule it for the Feb. 3 meeting.

The commission moved on to its substantive agenda after the elections. No further procedural contests were recorded during the organization items.
