The Milford City Planning & Zoning Commission voted to approve the city’s 2026–2030 Capital Improvement Plan after a presentation by the mayor, who described the document as the planning tool the city uses to list capital projects that may be pursued for bonding or grant funding.
The mayor said the plan compiles department requests and does not guarantee projects will be funded, but places them on the city’s list for future capital financing. He asked the commission to endorse the plan prior to sending it on to the Board of Aldermen for final approval.
A commissioner moved to approve the plan pursuant to Connecticut General Statute 8-24, the motion was seconded and the commission voted in favor with all commissioners on the record saying they were "with the motion." The commission’s approval is advisory and allows city staff to pursue the next steps for projects identified in the plan.
