County authorizes Junket LLC cleanup of Altamont Drive properties for $40,725

Stephanie Brown, Klamath County Community Development Department manager, told commissioners the county solicited quotes from seven vendors and received three bids; Junket LLC bid $40,725 to provide up to 30 loads of debris removal including labor. Klamath County Solid Waste initially bid $25,000 but withdrew because of manpower constraints, and other local bidders declined or did not submit quotes.

Brown said the properties are owned by code enforcement and ‘‘after it's cleaned up, we will put it on the market for sale to recoup some of those costs.’’ A commissioner moved to authorize the CDD manager to accept Junket LLC's quote; the motion was seconded and adopted by voice vote. The fiscal impact was recorded as an expense of $40,725 from the code‑enforcement violation reserve fund.
