BOCC approves $738,327 supplemental for Public Health fund and signs routine service agreements with Alsco and OHA amendment

The county finance director said the supplemental budget records revenue and expenditure changes in the Public Health fund related to additional state and federal grant awards and updates to the county's agreement with the State of Oregon. The BOCC voted to approve the supplemental budget for fiscal year 2026, increasing Public Health fund revenues and expenditures by $738,327.

Public Health Director (Director Little) said the department contracts with Alsco Inc. for laundering of clinic items and facility rugs; the board approved a service agreement at $450 per month with costs split across subdepartments. Director Little also presented Amendment 5 to IGA 01/5817 between Klamath County Public Health and the Oregon Health Authority, which updates program element descriptions and funding source identifiers for program element 12 (emergency preparedness) and delegates authority to continue operating public health programs under the updated terms. The board approved both the Alsco agreement and the IGA amendment by voice vote.

Meeting minutes record no net additional permanent county general fund obligations from the IGA amendment; the supplemental budget reflects new grant revenue and associated expenditures.
