Board declares old airport terminal surplus, authorizes sale or disposal

County staff told the board that construction of a new airport terminal will leave the current terminal and its furniture and fixtures surplus. Staff described the building as a double-wide manufactured structure with limited resale demand; some salvageable items may be transferred to the new terminal, while remaining furniture and fixtures could be offered on GovDeals and unsold items disposed of properly.

The board declared the existing terminal and its contents surplus and authorized staff to offer the facility and remaining contents for sale on GovDeals, with demolition considered if the building does not sell. The motion to declare the property surplus and authorize sale/disposal was approved by roll call.
