Long Beach to hold FY 2027 budget community meetings beginning Jan. 27

Nadia Gill, host of the Long Beach Brief, said the city is restarting community meetings for the Fiscal Year 2027 budget and invited residents to participate.

"It's the return of the fiscal year 2027 budget community meetings, and the city wants to hear from you," Gill said. She said the first in-person meeting will be on Jan. 27 at the CalRec Community Center at Ernest Bridal Park and that there will be five other meetings during the month, including a virtual option and an online survey for those who cannot attend in person. She directed listeners to the city's webpage for dates and the online survey.

The meetings offer residents a chance to review proposed budget priorities and provide input before the FY 2027 budget advances through the city's review process.
