Board approves consent agenda by voice vote; brief staffing clarification noted

At the Jan. 5 meeting the Stoughton Area School District Board approved the consent agenda by voice vote.

Allison Sorg moved approval of the consent agenda “as presented,” and her motion was seconded. During limited discussion a trustee asked about a resignation reported at the end of the previous month; staff confirmed coverage adjustments had been made and that both affected classrooms were fully covered. After no further discussion the chair called for a voice vote and the board approved the consent agenda.

The board did not record a roll‑call tally in the transcript; the meeting record shows the motion was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote. No amendments to the consent agenda were offered on the floor.
