Oklahoma County commissioners elect chair and vice chair for the year

At the regular meeting, the Board of County Commissioners held its annual election for board leadership. The board moved and approved the selection of a chair and then approved a vice chair after a commissioner moved to elect themselves to the post; both leadership motions were seconded and passed by voice vote.

The county’s companion PBA trustee session then approved the same slate of chair and vice chair as ‘duly elected in BOCC’ by voice vote. The PBA action was procedural and did not include additional direction or funding.
