Board retains officer slate, reappoints golf advisory members and notes donation

At the Jan. 6 meeting the board voted to retain its current officer slate for 2026 (Mister Emerick as president, Mister Harrelson as vice president and Missus Anderson as secretary) after an unnamed board member nominated keeping the status quo and the board approved the nomination by voice vote.

The board also approved reappointment of three members to the Miami Shores Golf Advisory Board. Board discussion acknowledged that the advisory board had trouble maintaining momentum following COVID and emphasized the need for a regular meeting schedule and clearer public posting of advisory‑board membership.

Presiding officer noted receipt of a $1,616.10 check from the William H. Mayer Successor Trust and thanked the donor. The board also confirmed a joint Parks & Recreation meeting for Jan. 20 in the Bravo Room.
