Council approves road-opening permit for 311 Walnut after owner requests gas service

The Township Council approved a road-opening permit for gas-line service at 311 Walnut Street after an owner representing the property told the council the house is in late-stage construction and needs heat.

Council considered a road-opening permit application (correspondence noted from George Tadros at Dec. 18, 2025). During council action a motion to approve was made and the meeting record shows the motion passed with four ayes and one no.

A person who identified himself as the owner of 311 Walnut and as living at 456 Park Place said the residence is "in late stage in the construction" and warned that, without heat, "it will be severely damaged if we don't have heat inside the house." Council confirmed approval and directed public services to be notified so the permit could be processed.

The council's action included the usual administrative follow-up to notify public-service staff that the permit had been approved.
