ODOT selects 10 city bridges for Bridge Formula Program funding

Mister Gauthier presented item 7 recommending the department select 10 structurally deficient city bridges for participation in the Bridge Formula Program. The commission voted to approve the selection.

Gauthier said the selection process considers annual average daily traffic, school bus routes, load postings, age and structural condition to establish prioritization. The cities named for the initial round include Harrah, Coweta, El Reno, Blanchard, Elk City and Tuttle; the department will work with those cities to address the identified structures.

The item was presented as a continuation of a program initially shown to the commission in July 2022. Commissioners approved the recommendation without additional amendments; Gauthier said staff will coordinate design and delivery with the cities and follow the Bridge Formula Program prioritization process.
