Clearfield County reorganizes appointments and designates three bank depositories for 2026

Clearfield County commissioners used their Jan. 5, 2026 reorganizational meeting to announce board appointments, reappoint a tourism board member and adopt a financial resolution naming official county depositories for 2026.

Speaker 1 announced appointments: Chairman Winters was assigned to the Central County Youth Center, the Community Connections governing board and the Clearfield Jefferson Airport Authority; Commissioner Sobel was assigned to tourism, the Clearfield County economic development and redevelopment authority; and Commissioner Glass (absent on vacation) was listed as taking other assignments including the Conservation District and north central regional planning.

The board voted to adopt Resolution 2026-1, designating CNB Bank, MidPenn Bank and First Commonwealth Bank as depositories for county funds for 2026. A motion to adopt the resolution was made, seconded and carried by voice vote.

Speaker 1 also moved to reappoint Josh Burtt to the Clearfield County Recreation and Tourism Board and announced one vacancy on that board; the motion passed by voice vote.

No contested votes or roll-call tallies were recorded in the public transcript; motions were adopted by voice vote during the reorganizational proceedings. Speaker 1 noted that Commissioner Glass was on a long-planned vacation and did not attend the meeting.
