Mill Creek board approves personnel report and administrative contracts; several dissenting votes recorded

The Mill Creek Township School District board on Nov. 24 approved multiple personnel-related policy changes, a personnel report listing resignations and recommendations, and three administrative contracts presented by Superintendent Dr. Kavanaugh.

Board member Mister Brink moved approval of items 6.01–6.13, a package of policy updates and rescissions covering multiple numbered policies and four revised job descriptions; the motion passed by voice vote. Brink then presented the personnel report (item 6.14) summarizing resignations (janitorial staff, AV specialist, head tennis coach, school security officer and student services secretary), leaves of absence, recommended long-term substitutes and status changes. The personnel report was approved after a motion and second; the transcript records one board member voting 'nay' (recorded in the minutes as "Vince, nay").

In the superintendent’s report, the board approved the assistant superintendent’s contract (9.03) and the chief human resources officer contract (9.05). The chief financial officer contract (9.04) was approved, and the transcript records a single dissenting vote by a board member (recorded as a 'nay' by speaker 5). Superintendent Dr. Kavanaugh publicly thanked staff members for their work and congratulated several employees on contract extensions.
