Kootenai County OKs outreach contract for Aquifer Protection District

Larry Sims, chair of the Kootenai County Aquifer Protection District advisory board, presented a proposal to hire Dexter Peak Communications to develop outreach materials: two slide decks (one for municipalities/first responders and one for public outreach) and related community presentations. Sims said Dexter Peak had previous work with county planning and that the immediate estimate was $1,875; the contract was written not to exceed $5,000 to allow for limited additional work if needed.

Sims noted legal had reviewed the contract without problems. The board moved and voted to approve the outreach agreement; Sims thanked the board and wished them a happy new year.

County staff said further web work or additional outreach beyond the initial slide decks would require separate discussion and authorization.
