Dickinson County Board approves routine items, hears committee reports and sets next meeting date

The board approved the floor meeting minutes and county claims by voice vote. During general discussion members reported committee activity and projects: a contractor mobilized for the Wintermoor bridge with a hopeful completion date of May 1, 2026 and FEMA paperwork reported as complete; updates were given on Northwest Iowa housing, recycling, the District 3 conference where solar energy and battery concerns were discussed, and trail funding for Spirit Lake.

Members exchanged holiday remarks, the chair reminded the board the next meeting is Jan. 2, and the board moved, seconded and voted to adjourn. The meeting ended with recorded aye votes.
