Commission advances community ambassador recruitment, schedules interviews

Commissioners finalized the interview schedule and scoring approach for the community ambassador program after reviewing a strong applicant pool.

Members said they scored applicants on a points system to shortlist candidates and planned to interview roughly 11 people over multiple sessions in late October and early November. Commissioners emphasized the need to understand applicants’ time availability (minimum commitment: four events per year) and suggested starting with a slightly larger cohort to account for attrition during onboarding.

Panel composition and scheduling logistics were discussed; commissioners preferred having the same interviewers for each session when possible. Staff will confirm final interview panels and notify shortlisted candidates.
